Off to school...

Well Monday was the big day for Elli & Tori. They started first grade - their first experience with all day school. The girls were very excited on Monday - awake, dressed to shoes, teeth brushed & face washed by 7:10 am! That has NEVER happened before. Last week Elli had said she was a little nervous about starting school (Tori said no such thing :-)). All the nerves seem to wash away as we got to the bus stop and my two "social butterflies" started chattering with friends and neighbors about the upcoming year. It seems that their week has gone well, although they are sharing precious few details about their days :-(.

I'll tell you who IS struggling with all of this - Mommy!! I so miss my girls when they are gone during the day. Ryan keeps me busy, to be sure, but the house is so much quieter these days. I hardly know what to do with myself. I'm sure things will get easier with time and once activities start up for Ryan and I.
