Happy Independence Day!!

When we first made the decision to build our family through international adoption, the fact that our children would be "immigrants" didn't really cross my mind. Or at least not until we started working on paperwork required by U.S Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Incidentally, this form is the one that had the fateful "check box" where we kind of shrugged our shoulders & said to each other "sure, we'll accept twins.." - but that's an old story...
But you know what, working through this process has made me very grateful to be a citizen of this country and even more grateful that I am able to share these opportunities with my children.
